UX/UI, Web Design

As a freelance UX/UI designer, I approach each project with a focus on translating client vision into polished digital experiences.

For this musician's website, I began with competitor analysis, identifying design trends, user expectations, and engagement features. I then constructed a mood board & a set of palettes, from which the client chose one.

Using Figma, I diagrammed user flow & delivered website wireframes according to client needs.

I refined the design's typography, layout, and asset design in Figma and Adobe Illustrator.

A texture & stereo widening plugin.

UX/UI, Application Design, C++, Juce

As a hobby music producer, I've long harbored an interest in creating my own tools for bending and shaping sound. SuperLush is a work-in-progress VST plugin I'm developing from scratch.

The UI is my take on the recent trend of a minimal functional interface with a stunning visualization tool. Key controls are centered for accessiblity, with a menu bar containing additional options. The default color scheme was inspired by the Viridis "plasma" color map for data visualization. The plugin features a set of palettes for colorblind inclusivity.

The UI was sketched, wireframed, and designed in Figma, with assets created in Abode Illustrator.

The plugin is in development using C++ and the JUCE framework. It features a set of modular stereo widening & texture effects, which can be customizably routed for maximum flexibility.

Prompt engineering in multi-agent systems.

Research Methods, Python, Natural Language Processing, R

I executed a self-directed, supervised research project exploring the effects of specific prompt engineering techniques on LLM performance on a series of coding tasks.

I found that prompt engineering can elicit unexpected behavioural abberations in multi-agent systems, as well as increases in operational costs. The study recommends prompt engineering be thoroughly tested prior to implementation, particularly at scale.

The experiment was conducted in Python, with the ChatDev multi-agent system framework. Data collection, analysis, and visualization were performed in R. Document similarity was examined using NLTK and Gensim libraries for Python.

A gamified learning app for individual therapy.

UX/UI, Mobile Design

I created Solstice as an exercise in mobile design. The app is a fictional gamified learning app designed to help people acquire and use practical psychotherapy skills.

The design of the app is focused on usability and visual appeal. Users should want to use the app by virtue of its appearance. Pages were sketched, wireframed, and designed primarily in Figma. Navigation was planned to minimize taps required to explore key features, such as the Toolbox, Social View, and the Course Selector.

Inter was selected as the main typeface for its readability and friendly type character. Rounded, flat elements were chosen for simplicity and usability.

I make designs for users, for businesses & clients. With a background in cognitive science, psychology, and human-computer interaction, I have a passion for exploring and improving how we interact with our digital environments.

Alongside design, I like to play and learn instruments, go outdoors with like-minded adventurers, and inquire about the world around me.
